Midday Supervisor

Midday Supervisors have responsibility for the supervision of children

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for the supervision of children aged 4-11 throughout midday break
  • Supervision of children in the dining hall at break time and reporting any inappropriate behaviour
  • Supervision of all areas both inside and outside where pupils play during lunchtime
  • Cleaning up spillages and requesting children to pick up their litter
  • Disciplining children appropriately using recognised disciplinary methods contained within school policies
  • Ensuring that children are kept safe at all times in accordance with child protection guidelines
  • Administering first aid and calling on expert medical assistance when appropriate

Qualification Required:

  • No qualifications required but the applicate must have a good level of spoken English

As a Midday Supervisor you need to:

  • Have experience of working with children and have the ability to relate well to them
  • Have a patient and calm persona
  • Knowledge of basic first aid and willingness to deal with minor accidents
  • Have a good understanding of the legal obligation of confidentiality
  • Have the ability to organise and supervise games for the children to play
