TEACHER OF PE (Female) - A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, dynamic and dedicated Physical Education teacher to join a highly successful Physical Education Department. The appointed candidate will need to be able to teach Physical Education to a consistently high standard across the curriculum with the ability to teach both Key Stage 4 and 5 examination courses.
A commitment to a thriving extra-curricular sporting programme is essential to enable the department to maintain its already outstanding sporting achievements. The working environment will enable outstanding professional development opportunities. The school has a Sports Hall, gymnasium, fitness suite, 4 netball courts, 6 tennis courts, 114m Tartan track and extensive playing fields.
To be successful in this role you must have:
A genuine passion and talent for teaching PE
The ability to engage students in organised and productive PE and games sessions
An academic background in Sports Science and the ability to deliver both GCSE and A level PE.
A specialism in Biomechanics and Anatomy and Physiology would be desirable.
A strong knowledge of all major games activities and the desire to encourage children of all abilities within lessons and extra-curricular activities.
An optimistic outlook and the skill to encourage students to aid their development and the capacity to fit into a cohesive staff team
In order to work with Link Education all applicants must:
Be UK qualified or hold a recognised Teaching or Teaching Assistant Qualification
Have previous Experience Teaching the UK National Curriculum
Hold a current and clear DBS or be happy to apply for a new one
Be able to commit to the full duration of the contract
Have a passion for teaching and the ability to inspire all who you teach
