Part Time - 1 x day per week

Our client school in SE London are wishing to appoint a Teacher of English.
The successful candidate will be an English subject specialist but will also have a willingness to deliver other sessions on an occasional ad hoc basis as designated by the management.
The successful candidate will be able to engage students with a variety of strategies and interesting and interactive sessions.
This is a small school based on the same site as a residential care home where the students reside.
Some students have SEN, some do not. All are looked after children. Some may have behavioural issues, some do not. All students at the school are female. Students are KS3 and KS4 of varying abilities so good differentiation skills are a must.
Some students will achieve GCSE and some will achieve Entry Level.
Experience of SEN is not essential for the right applicant.
The following is essential:
A thorough working knowledge of current education practise in English is essential.
Ability to arrive prepared and completely ready for all lessons
Ability to build positive relationships with the young people
Ability to be punctual
Ability to adapt plans



In order to work with Link Education all applicants must:

Be UK qualified or hold a recognised Teaching or Teaching Assistant Qualification
Have previous Experience Teaching the UK National Curriculum
Hold a current and clear DBS or be happy to apply for a new one
Be able to commit to the full duration of the contract
Have a passion for teaching and the ability to inspire all who you teach
