TEACHER OF CONSTRUCTION - Are you an experienced and motivated Teacher of Construction or Design Technology specialising in Woodwork?
Our client school in Mid Kent are offering an exciting opportunity to join their Applied Learning Team delivering theory and practical lessons in construction and the construction industry as a whole, teaching 14-18 year old full-time students.
The school currently deliver the WJEC Level 1/2 Award In Constructing the Built Environment, but are looking to develop and expand into the City and Guilds Diploma course with the right candidate. The courses consist of a number of practical and theory based units, covering the industry as a whole and specialising in the following practical units: roofing, brickwork, and carpentry.
The successful candidate would ideally have City and Guilds assessor levels 1 and 2 qualifications to support with delivering the diploma. Level 3 would be desirable. They are ideally looking for someone with experience in woodwork and/or in the brickwork area. Depending on the skills of the successful applicant part of the role will require you to deliver and support other practical areas.
While teaching, assessor and verifier qualifications would be desirable they are not essential. A candidate with the ability to encourage young people in their learning is essential.
In order to work with Link Education all applicants must:
Be UK qualified or hold a recognised Teaching or Teaching Assistant Qualification
Have previous Experience Teaching the UK National Curriculum
Hold a current and clear DBS or be happy to apply for a new one
Be able to commit to the full duration of the contract
Have a passion for teaching and the ability to inspire all who you teach
