TEACHING ASSISTANT (SEN) - Our client school in West Kent is seeking to appoint a specialist SEN TA.
The post is linked to fulfilling the Educational Health and Care Plan of a student with Physical Needs.
This will include; working alongside the parents and SEN team to build and facilitate independence, being on call for the student in case of the need to support in moving and handling, to support within lessons to ensure the safeguarding and access to curriculum for the student.
There will also be a requirement to provide photocopying and administrative support.
One of the most attractive elements to this post is the opportunity to experience and develop in a number of key support areas whilst the school has small student numbers.
However as the student roll increases you will have an opportunity to focus on your specialist area which will, after a few years, become the main part of your job.

Be UK qualified or hold a recognised Teaching or Teaching Assistant Qualification
Have previous Experience Teaching the UK National Curriculum
Hold a current and clear DBS or be happy to apply for a new one
Be able to commit to the full duration of the contract

I just wanted to write this letter to say thank you for giving me the confidence and opportunity to go back into teaching. Having not activley taught for four years after taking maternity leave I wasn't sure if I would be confident enough to go back especially with the introdution of the new primary frameworks and interactive whiteboards. However,the schools you placed me with were really supportive and the encouragement you gave soon got my confidence back and after the first few assignments I felt like I had never been away. I have enjoyed all of my assignments.I really appreciated the time you took to listen about the age range I wanted to work with,that I only wanted to start by doing two days a week and that I did not want to travel too far from home.
