This school are a popular, mainstream community school, which has recently joined a Trust of local schools. The successful candidate will have a HLTA qualification or equivalent. The school has provision for a small number of children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder who are taught in mainstream classes with appropriate support. There is also a provision for visually impaired children. Therefore, experience of working with children with Autism or Speech and Language difficulties would be an advantage.
He or she will have a sense of humour, a positive attitude, strong behaviour management skills and enjoy working as a proactive member of a team of teachers and assistants who put children at the centre of everything they do and a desire to help children overcome barriers to learning is essential. We are also looking for someone with the ability to work on their own initiative and provide engaging learning opportunities.
In order to work with Link Education all applicants must:
Be UK qualified or hold a recognised Teaching or Teaching Assistant Qualification
Have previous Experience Teaching the UK National Curriculum
Hold a current and clear DBS or be happy to apply for a new one
Be able to commit to the full duration of the contract
Have a passion for teaching and the ability to inspire all who you teach
