A welcoming primary school in Dartford is seeking a committed SEND Administration Assistant to join their team and support the SENCo in delivering high-quality provision for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

About the Role
Working closely with the SENCo, you will play an essential part in the smooth running of the school’s SEND department by:
- Providing administrative and organisational support to the SENCo
- Preparing documentation, drafting correspondence and maintaining accurate records
- Updating pupil information relating to medical, welfare and SEND needs
- Supporting the creation and maintenance of care plans, IEPs, Pupil Progress records and intervention plans
- Liaising with parents, carers, external professionals and outside agencies
- Supporting the preparation and submission of high needs funding applications
- Keeping the SEND Register up to date and ensuring compliance with GDPR
- Attending meetings and completing associated paperwork when required
- Assisting with SEND resources and helping to maintain an inclusive provision
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent)
Experience:
- Proven administrative experience (school experience desirable but not essential)
Skills & Abilities:
- Highly organised, methodical and able to maintain accurate records
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Good ICT knowledge — MS Office, SIMS.net and other school software (training provided)
- Ability to multitask, prioritise and manage your own workload
- A supportive team player who can remain calm and professional
- Able to handle confidential information with sensitivity
Knowledge:
- Understanding of school systems and SEND processes
- Awareness of safeguarding, confidentiality and data protection requirements
