Part Time SENDCO
A welcoming and inclusive primary school in South East London is seeking to appoint an experienced and dedicated SENDCO to join their leadership team from September 2026 on a part-time basis (3 days per week).
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate SEND practitioner to lead and further develop high-quality SEND provision within a supportive and well-resourced school environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that pupils with additional needs are fully supported to achieve their potential academically, socially and emotionally.
The school prides itself on its inclusive ethos, strong pastoral support and commitment to providing excellent outcomes for all pupils.
The successful candidate will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Hold or be working towards the National Award for SEN Coordination
- Have a strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice
- Have experience supporting pupils with a range of SEND needs across the primary phase
- Be confident working alongside parents, external agencies and school staff
- Demonstrate excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills
- Be committed to promoting inclusion and raising achievement for all learners
The role will involve:
- Leading and managing SEND provision across the school
- Supporting staff with inclusive teaching strategies and interventions
- Managing EHCP reviews, SEN support plans and external referrals
- Liaising closely with families and outside professionals
- Monitoring pupil progress and ensuring appropriate provision is in place
- Supporting the strategic development of SEND provision within the school
