Experienced SEND TA – Orpington
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a lovely Primary school in the Orpington area for an experienced SEN teaching assistant for a long term vacancy.
This is a fixed term role until the end of the academic year, part time 15 hours per week.
Key requirements:
- Experience of supporting children with autism and speech and language needs including delivering speech therapy
- Be fully committed to the role of working with a child with additional needs on a 1:1 basis and delivering support as outlined in individual support plans.
- Have the skills to support and differentiate the learning, social interaction and welfare of individual pupils with a range of needs.
- Support the class teacher to provide the best opportunities and outcomes for the child.
- Keep records and observations of selected children to enable staff to plan appropriate next steps
- Be motivated, flexible and understanding
