Role Overview
Pru school in SE London is seeking an experienced and adaptable KS2 Teacher to work within the PRU setting as a Float Teacher. The successful candidate will support pupils across Key Stage 2, delivering engaging lessons, managing behaviour positively, and maintaining high standards of learning and safeguarding.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality teaching across KS2 classes as required.
- Provide flexible classroom cover and support across different subject areas.
- Adapt lesson delivery to meet the needs of pupils within a PRU environment.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively using restorative and positive strategies.
- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to staff and leadership teams.
- Maintain accurate records and uphold safeguarding procedures at all times.
- Work collaboratively with support staff, SEN teams, and leadership.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Key Stage 2 pupils.
- Experience within PRU, SEN, or alternative provision settings preferred.
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexibly across classes and subjects.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service preferred.
Working Pattern
Full-time teaching placement during the Autumn term period specified above.
