About the Role
We are looking for confident and skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to join primary schools across the Dartford area. This role is ideal for experienced teaching support staff who are ready to take the next step in their career, with opportunities to lead classes, deliver planned lessons, and support whole-school learning.
As a HLTA, you will work alongside teachers, cover classes when needed, and provide targeted interventions to help pupils achieve their learning goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading whole-class sessions in the absence of a teacher
- Delivering small group and one-to-one interventions to raise attainment
- Supporting classroom teachers with planning and preparation of resources
- Helping to manage behaviour and create a positive learning environment
- Encouraging and motivating pupils to achieve their best
What We’re Looking For:
- HLTA status (or equivalent qualification) is highly desirable
- Proven experience working in a primary school setting
- Confidence in leading classes and delivering pre-planned lessons
- Strong communication, organisation, and behaviour management skills
- A positive, proactive approach to supporting teaching and learning
