Location: A small, one-form entry Church of England primary school in Rochester
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Year 1 Class Teacher to cover a maternity leave position. This is a full class teacher role, with responsibility for all aspects of teaching, planning, and assessment for a Year 1 class within our welcoming school community.

The Role
The successful candidate will be expected to take on the full responsibilities of a class teacher. Planning and PPA (Planning, Preparation and Assessment) time will be provided weekly.
About You
We are looking for an experienced and adaptable teacher who is ready to immerse themselves in our school’s curriculum and ethos.
Essential Experience:
- Proven experience as a primary school teacher, ideally within Key Stage 1.
- Strong understanding of the Year 1 curriculum.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Curriculum Knowledge (Beneficial):
- Experience using the Read Write Inc. (RWI) Phonics scheme is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with the following curriculum resources would be advantageous:
- White Rose Maths
- Kapow Primary (across various subjects)
- Grammarsaurus (for English/grammar)
Pay Rate: £180 – £200 per day
