KS2 Class Teacher – Maidstone


We are currently working with a small village Primary School is located in Maidstone. Our client is looking for a talented KS2 teacher to join their small team. The class is a small mixed age class of year 5 and 6 pupils (approximately 20 children).

This school is is a unique, small voluntary controlled Primary School for 4-11 year olds, located in the heart of the Kent countryside in Maidstone, Kent. The classrooms are spacious and very well-resourced and their grounds are extensive and equally well resourced. They pride themselves on being an inclusive school where learning is enjoyed and children are engaged and happy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils
  • Promote good progress and outcomes by pupils
  • Demonstrate good subject and curriculum knowledge
  • Plan and teach well-structured lessons
  • Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of all pupils
  • Manage behaviour effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching within a primary school and in KS2.
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children in the setting.
  • Strong classroom management skills with the ability to create a positive learning environment and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
