About the Role
Link Education is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Teacher to work within a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) based in Eltham. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated educator who is passionate about supporting young people with additional needs and helping them re-engage with education.
You will be teaching small groups of pupils who may have faced barriers to learning due to social, emotional or behavioural challenges. The successful candidate will create a calm, structured and supportive learning environment, where every pupil feels valued and motivated to achieve.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to meet the needs of all learners.
- Support pupils with SEMH needs and/or behavioural difficulties to achieve personal and academic goals.
- Establish positive, trusting relationships and model high expectations of behaviour and attitude.
- Work collaboratively with support staff, pastoral teams and external agencies.
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching as needed.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS.
- Experience working in a PRU, SEMH school or alternative provision (desirable).
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
- A calm, resilient and empathetic approach to teaching and supporting young people.
- Current Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one through Link Education).
