We are recruiting on behalf of one of our “Outstanding” secondary schools within the Gravesend area who are looking to appoint an experienced Chemist to join their highly successful and very popular Science Department to start for a new role in January 2025.
Our client is a popular 11-18 selective boys grammar school with girls admitted to the Sixth Form.
They have a committed staff who provide opportunity and challenge in a caring environment and strive to ensure the students achieve the very best they can at all times. They also have strong working partnerships with parents, governors and the local community.
Their expectations of student performance at the School is very high, so there is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about their subject to make a marked difference working with high potential and extremely focused students.
The Ideal Candidate:
- A qualified science teacher, specialising in Chemistry able to teach all areas of the curriculum to A level
An outstanding classroom practitioner who is flexible, enthusiastic and innovative
Excellent subject knowledge and a rigorous approach to assessment and learning with the ability to deliver excellent outcomes
A committed team-member who will be willing to contribute to the wide school activities

Requirements:
- Hold QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree
- Experience teaching Science across secondary schools and further education.
- A genuine passion for working with children and enjoy working in a school environment.
- Punctual, trustworthy and can work as part of a team and to develop and maintain positive relationships with all staff
