SEN Teaching Assistant – Anerley
We are currently recruiting a specialist SEN Teaching Assistant to join one of our supportive schools in the Anerley area. This role involves working closely with students who have specific physical needs, providing essential support to help them access learning and participate fully in school life. The successful candidate will require both practical and theoretical moving and handling qualifications to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the students.
Key Responsibilities:

Supporting children with physical needs in the classroom and around the school

Assisting with personal care and mobility using appropriate moving and handling techniques

Working closely with teachers and other support staff to create an inclusive learning environment

Monitoring and reporting on pupil progress and wellbeing

Promoting independence and social development within the SEN setting
Candidate Requirements:
-
Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or degree
-
Minimum of 6 months experience working with children, preferably within a SEN environment
-
Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service
-
Valid moving and handling practical and theory certification
-
Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach

A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
