SEN Teaching Assistants – Catford
We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with additional needs in Catford. This role may be based in a specialist SEN setting or involve 1:1 support within a mainstream primary school.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs), and challenging behaviours. Experience supporting pupils across various key stages within the primary setting is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide tailored 1:1 or small group support to pupils with additional needs

Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to ensure an inclusive learning environment

Assist with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs)

Support pupils with emotional regulation, social interaction, and engagement in learning

Maintain accurate records and contribute to progress reports
Candidate Requirements:
-
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

Previous experience working in an SEN setting or supporting a child 1:1 with additional needs in a mainstream school

Experience across EYFS, KS1, and/or KS2

A caring, patient, and proactive approach to supporting children

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
