We are currently recruiting on behalf of a ‘Good’ rated primary school based in the Sidcup area. This welcoming and supportive school prides itself on fostering a nurturing environment where both staff and pupils can thrive. They are looking for an experienced and dedicated Year 5 Teacher who is passionate about delivering high-quality education and committed to helping pupils reach their full potential.
The Role:

Carry out full teaching responsibilities for a Year 5 class, delivering engaging and inspiring lessons that meet the needs of all learners

Plan and deliver a broad and balanced curriculum in line with school policies and statutory requirements

Monitor and assess pupil progress regularly, using data to inform and adapt teaching approaches
-
Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development within a safe and positive classroom environment
-
Work collaboratively with colleagues, including teaching assistants and Senior Leadership Team, to contribute to the ongoing development of the school’s teaching standards and pupil outcomes

Engage with parents and carers through meetings and regular communication to support pupil progress and wellbeing

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Minimum of 1 year’s experience teaching upper Key Stage 2 (Years 5 and 6)

Valid Enhanced DBS certificate, registered on the Update Service

Strong classroom management skills and ability to create a positive learning environment

Excellent communication skills with pupils, colleagues, and parents

Passionate about fostering a love of learning and supporting pupils’ individual needs
