Year 1 Teacher – Bromley
We are currently seeking a qualified Year 1 Teacher to join one of our ‘Outstanding’ primary schools in the Bromley area. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching in line with the national curriculum, including planning, marking, and report writing.
This role offers the opportunity to work alongside an experienced co-teacher for support, making it suitable for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to start their career.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the national curriculum

Mark and assess pupils’ work, providing constructive feedback

Maintain accurate records and complete report writing

Inspire and motivate pupils to achieve their full potential

Collaborate effectively with teaching assistants and other staff members

Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
Ideal Candidate:
-
A genuine passion for working with and supporting children’s development
-
Confident in delivering lessons with strong curriculum knowledge
-
Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively
-
Understanding of safeguarding and commitment to child safety
-
Experience or understanding of working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is preferred

Reliable, professional, and punctual
Candidate Requirements:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
-
Relevant UK teaching experience, preferably within primary education
-
Valid Enhanced DBS check registered with the DBS Update Service, or willingness to obtain one immediately if shortlisted

Willingness to provide proof of qualifications and references

A confident understanding of safeguarding procedures and safe working practices with children
