Business Studies Teacher – Sevenoaks
We are currently recruiting for a part-time Business Studies Teacher to join a highly regarded and heavily oversubscribed academy based in Sevenoaks. This is an excellent opportunity to work with motivated students aged 11-19 in a supportive and dynamic school environment. The role offers 2-3 days per week and is ideal for a passionate teacher looking to make a real impact within a thriving secondary setting.
Key Duties / Responsibilities:

Plan, deliver, evaluate, and assess high-quality teaching and learning

Contribute to the teaching of designated subjects within the academy

Participate in the development of syllabuses, materials, and schemes of work

Plan appropriate differentiation for students, including joint planning with LSAs
-
Share good practice across the academy

Contribute to the subject SEF and Improvement Plan

Contribute to the Academy Improvement Plan (AIP)
-
Attend and participate in subject meetings and parents’ evenings
-
Set and mark appropriate classwork and homework, monitoring progress in line with marking and AFL policies
-
Supervise the use and care of rooms assigned to the subject, ensuring Health and Safety compliance

Act as a pastoral tutor and teach the Relevance Curriculum where appropriate
Requirements:
-
A subject-related First Degree
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
-
Detailed working knowledge of the National Curriculum and GCSE/IB syllabuses
-
Up-to-date subject knowledge, including progression and assessment of learning
-
Proven ability to plan stimulating and challenging work for a range of students
-
Ability to evaluate and improve own teaching practice
-
Set high expectations for student behaviour and effectively manage classroom behaviour

Understanding of effective teaching strategies and how to deliver engaging lessons
