Design & Technology Technician – Bromley
A well-regarded school in Bromley is seeking a dedicated and proactive Design & Technology Technician to join their vibrant team in preparation for the new academic year.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with the preparation and setup of Technology resources across various disciplines including Resistant Materials, Textiles, Food Technology, and Art.

Prepare apparatus, materials, solutions, and set up equipment for practical classes, examinations, and assessments across the department.

Provide support to teaching staff during lessons and extracurricular clubs, both during and after school hours.

Ensure all workrooms and classrooms are cleaned and tidied after use, ready for subsequent lessons.

Assist the Head of Department in managing and maintaining material stocks, ensuring that resources meet the demands of upcoming lessons and student requirements.

Keep equipment stock registers up to date, ensuring all machinery and tools are regularly maintained and serviced.

Engage in continuous professional development, actively identifying and addressing personal training needs to enhance skills and knowledge.

Comply with Health & Safety legislation by taking reasonable care of your own health and safety, and that of others, maintaining a safe and secure working environment at all times.

Follow all safety procedures to prevent risk to yourself or others within the department and school premises.
