Design & Technology Technician – Bromley


A well-regarded school in Bromley is seeking a dedicated and proactive Design & Technology Technician to join their vibrant team in preparation for the new academic year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation and setup of Technology resources across various disciplines including Resistant Materials, Textiles, Food Technology, and Art.

  • Prepare apparatus, materials, solutions, and set up equipment for practical classes, examinations, and assessments across the department.

  • Provide support to teaching staff during lessons and extracurricular clubs, both during and after school hours.

  • Ensure all workrooms and classrooms are cleaned and tidied after use, ready for subsequent lessons.

  • Assist the Head of Department in managing and maintaining material stocks, ensuring that resources meet the demands of upcoming lessons and student requirements.

  • Keep equipment stock registers up to date, ensuring all machinery and tools are regularly maintained and serviced.

  • Engage in continuous professional development, actively identifying and addressing personal training needs to enhance skills and knowledge.

  • Comply with Health & Safety legislation by taking reasonable care of your own health and safety, and that of others, maintaining a safe and secure working environment at all times.

  • Follow all safety procedures to prevent risk to yourself or others within the department and school premises.
