English Teacher – Bexleyheath
We are recruiting on behalf of one of our secondary schools within the Bexleyheath area and we are looking to recruit a dedicated English teacher to join their warm and supportive team.
This school is looking for someone who will join their English department and become a part of their experienced team to start in the full-time role in January 2025 for a permanent position.
Our client is proud to be a non-selective school in the grammar heartland of Kent. They are quickly approaching capacity with students; in order to accommodate the demands of the local community and grow their staff, they must expand.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with outstanding teaching skills and excellent English knowledge to join our clients journey of continued improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and supported.
- Quality assurance (including contributing to the process of monitoring and evaluating the subject area)
- Management of information (including maintaining appropriate records and tracking student progress)
- Communications with students, parents and other stakeholders regarding student progress, behaviour, and achievements.
- Teaching, ensuring a high quality learning experience for students
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching English across secondary schools and further education.
- Good knowledge of the UK National Curriculum and experience in its implementation
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to create a positive learning environment and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Punctual, trustworthy and can work as part of a team and to develop and maintain positive relationships with all staff
- A genuine passion for working with children and enjoy working in a school environment.
