We are currently hiring experienced Nursery Room Leaders to join one of our nursery settings in the Catford area.
Room Leader: The Role
This nursery are seeking a confident, caring and experienced Room Leader, to join their team of Early Years practitioners.
The successful nursery nurse should be skilled in and dedicated to infant handling and should demonstrate a strong sense of empathy and compassion.
You should also demonstrate knowledge and strong communication with all members of staff within the nursery and parents of children.
Both full time and part time positions are available, we have supply, long term and permanent vacancies.
Room Leader: The Ideal Candidate
We are looking to work with qualified individuals who have a level 3 qualification in Early Years / Child Development.
- A genuine passion for working with children
- Passionate about creating a fun, safe and stimulating environment for children
- Up to date paediatric first aid / safeguarding training are very desirable; we also have resources to update safeguarding training.
- Degree-level education is desirable or a minimum level 3 qualification.
- Strong experience caring for children
These roles would be based in the Baby or Toddler Room within the nursery and will be starting off at 30 hours per week working Monday to Friday.
You will be responsible for the day to day running of the room, supporting the other nursery practitioners and planning / monitoring the activities
Room Leader: Candidate Requirements
- All employees must have a valid, Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or, be willing to apply for a new certificate
- Be professional, reliable and punctual when attending bookings
- This role requires a minimum level 3 qualification in Early Years / Child Development and we will need to see a copy of your qualification / certificate.
- Good knowledge of ratio, room management and team management are also required.
- Strong UK-based childcare experience in the UK and a confident understanding of safeguarding and the importance of safe practice in an environment with children.
