Year 1 Teacher – Dartford
We are currently working with a “Good” primary school nestled in the heart of Dartford, Kent who are recruiting for a Year 1 Teacher to join their school in January 2025. This role would be for a full-time long term maternity cover role to start from January 2025.
Our client is looking for an enthusiastic, committed and creative Year 1 class teacher with passion and enthusiasm to plan and deliver exciting sequences of learning for their children.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high quality education to students, fostering their academic, social, and emotional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and supported.
- Assess student progress regularly and use data to inform instructional decisions and interventions.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan cross-curricular activities and share best practices.
- Communicate effectively with parents/carers regarding student progress, behaviour, and achievements.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through participation in extracurricular activities, school events, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Successful teaching experience teaching in a primary school.
- Good knowledge of the UK National Curriculum and experience in its implementation
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to create a positive learning environment and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
