Year 5 Teacher – Sidcup

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a ‘Good’ rated primary school based in the Sidcup area. They are looking for an experienced and dedicated Year 5 Teacher who is passionate about delivering high-quality education and committed to helping pupils reach their full potential.

The Role:

• Carry out full teaching responsibilities for a Year 5 class, delivering engaging and inspiring lessons that meet the needs of all learners

• Plan and deliver a broad and balanced curriculum in line with school policies and statutory requirements

• Monitor and assess pupil progress regularly, using data to inform and adapt teaching approaches

• Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development within a safe and positive classroom environment

• Work collaboratively with colleagues, including teaching assistants and Senior Leadership Team, to contribute to the ongoing development of the school’s teaching standards and pupil outcomes

• Engage with parents and carers through meetings and regular communication to support pupil progress and wellbeing

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Minimum of 1 year’s experience teaching upper Key Stage 2 (Years 5 and 6)

• Valid Enhanced DBS certificate, registered on the Update Service

• Strong classroom management skills and ability to create a positive learning environment

• Excellent communication skills with pupils, colleagues, and parents

• Passionate about fostering a love of learning and supporting pupils’ individual needs
